Buacement, CILeasing,UACP Lead Gainers In Market Rebound

in the absence of huge loss by highly capitalised equities on Thursday, gains posted by BuaCement, CILeasing, and UACP lifted market into the green zone .
Equities market value which commenced the week in red , running through midweek, rebounded yesterday, as the market closed bullish.
Equities market value rose by N24 billion, to close the day at N14,362,169 trillion, having opened the day at N14,338,296 trillion. Driven largely by BUA Cement , the NSE-ASI gained 0.17 per cent to close at 27,568.91pts. Market breadth index was also positive with 19 gainers against 9 losers.
The cement manufacturing firm emerged the performance driver on Thursday, with N1.05 or 3.00 per cent, share price appreciation, to close at N36.05 per share. CILeasing followed on the top gainers chart with N0.5 or 7.87 per cent growth, as it closed at N6.85 per share, while UACP, as the third best gainer, rose in equity price by N0.32 or 9.94 per cent, to close at N3.54 per share.
AFRIPRUD, closed the day as the fourth best gainer with N0.13 or 2.54 per cent growth, to close at N5.25 per share, while Ikeja Hotel , closed the top five gainers group at N1.21 per share, following growth by N0.11 or 10.00 percent. AIICO also rose by 10.00 per cent, closing at N
SFSREIT led the decliners , as it depreciated massively by N8.55 or 10.00 per cent, to close at N76.95 per share, GTB followed with N0.4 or 1.41 per cent loss , to close at N28 per share, while Oando , as the third highest loser yesterday, dipped by N0.23 or 6.59 per cent, to close at N3.26 per share.
Zenith closed as the fourth top loser at N19.4 per share, having declined by N0.1 or 0.51 per cent, to close at N19.4 per share, while Champion Breweclosed the top five losers chart at N0.88 per share, following decline by N0.09 or 9.28 per cent.
Sovereign Insurance with turnover of 200,000,022 million shares , worth N40,000,004.40 million, emerged the most active stock, followed by GTB with 56,299,342 million shares , valued N1,571,462,255.55 billion, while Zenith Bank , the third most active , recorded 36,714,958million shares , worth N713,877,466.05 million.
UBA, the fourth most traded, recorded 32,362,776 million shares, worth N247, 452,546.70 million, while FBNH closed the top five active stocks table with 31,185,614 million shares, valued N179, 366,740.75 million.
Sectoral performance Thursday showed that the NSE Industrial Index rose by 1.66 per cent, as a result of the buy interest in BUA Cement which rose by 3.00 per cent.
The NSE Oil & Gas Index dipped by 0.86 per cent, due to the loss in OANDO as its share price fell by 6.59 per cent. NSE Banking Index followed the trend with 0.51 per cent dip, driven by the sell-offs in Sterling Bank which dropped by 3.85 per cent, Guaranty Bank by 1.41 per cent and Zenith Bank by -0.51 per cent. The NSE Consumer Goods Index depreciated by 0.04 per cent, following the decline in Champion by -9.28 per cent or N0.09 closing at N0.99 per share.
