Access Bank’s Board Meeting, Closed Period Hold April 23

Access Bank Plc Wednesday has announced that its board meeting and its closed period, has been postponed to Thursday, April 23, 2020.
The Nigerian multinational commercial bank informed NSE and the investing public that this decision was taken in order to consider and approve the group’s unaudited Financial Statements for the 1Q 2020 (Quarter ended March 31, 2020).
The Company said “it has declared a Closed Period in respect of the transaction on its securities from April 9, 2020, to such date as will be subsequently announced (both days inclusive) in compliance with the Listing Rules of the Nigerian Stock Exchange”.
Also stating that no director, employee, persons discharging managerial responsibility, advisers of the Company and their connected persons may directly or indirectly, deal in the securities of the Company in any manner during the Closed Period.
In the meantime, the merger of Access Bank and Diamond Bank on 1 April, 2019 has made Access Bank the largest bank in Africa as it continues to grow its financial capabilities and expand its customer base.
The Nigerian multinational commercial bank is presently one of the five largest banks in Nigeria in terms of assets, loans, deposits and branch network.
