Tribunal nullifies Kashamu, Adesegun elections

The controversial senator Ogun east senatorial district , Buruji Kashamu, and Adekoya Adesegun, a member, Federal House of Representatives, also from the same district, have lost their seats in the National Assembly, Abuja. 
The three-man election tribunal led by Henry Olusiyi sacked the two Peoples Democratic lawmakers and ordered a run of their elections.
Kashamu of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) contested the National Assembly seat on March 28, 2015 with Dapo Abiodun of All Progressives Congress (APC), but was declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
 Kashamu after the election in March led by 5000 votes, the three-man election tribunal panel ‎sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun state capital cancelled 37,000 votes and ordered a re-run.
Also, Adekoya Adesegun, who moved a fresh motion to revisit the $470 million Abuja and Lagos Closed Circuit Television Camera contracts in 2010 on the House of Representatives in Abuja on Thursday, suffered the same fate.
The tribunal while sacking Adesegun ordered fresh election in 223 polling units‎ that make up Ijebu-North/Ogun Waterside/Ijebu East Federal Constituency that Adesegun represents in the Federal House of Representatives.
Adekoya AbdulMajid Adesegun was elected on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in March 28, 2015 National Assembly elections by the people of three local government areas, namely Ijebu North, Ijebu East and Ogun Waterside which make up Ijebu North/Ijebu East/Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency. in Abeokuta, Ogun state capital cancelled 37,000 votes and therefore, ordered a re-run.
