The Federal Government may consider sanctioning CNN over its report on Lekki Killing during the EndSARS protest in Lagos which was released on Tuesday.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, gave this indication at a media briefing on Thursday in Abuja.
The minister, who flayed the CNN report on Lekki protesters, described it as irresponsible journalism.
“How could there have been a massacre without bodies,” Mohammed queried, adding “no single body has been produced or has a single family come out to claim its family member was killed at Lekki toll plaza.”
He noted that the CBN report and video on Lekki protesters were a collation of fake news being spread on the social media.
