Julius Berger Jumps N2.851bn As Vitafoam Dips 7.56%

The market capitalisation of Julius Berger Plc soared by 9.73 per cent on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) as the value of its share price rose by N1.80kobo.

The construction company with a market capitalisation of N29. 304 billion jumped to N32.155bn, representing a 9.73 per cent or N2. 851 billion growth in its market base.

Also, its share price which opened the day’s trading at N18.50 per share appreciated to N20. 3 per share, while its outstanding shares stand at 1,584,000,000.

Conversely, Vitafoam Nigeria Plc continued its descent on the NSE as its shares dropped further again on Wednesday.

The market capitalisation of Vitafoam fell by N813. 048 million, after opening at N10.757 billion to close at N9,944 billion, indicating a 7.56 per cent depreciation of its market share.

The share price of Vitafoam also shed 7.56 per cent, from N8. 60 per share to N7.95 per share and its outstanding shares remain at 1,250,844,064.

Further check by Inside Business shows that the company had experienced a three trading sessions decline on its share price. Vitafoam share price dropped from N9. 30 per share on Friday last week to N8.60 per share on Monday, was steady on Tuesday at N8. 60 per share, but depreciated again on Wednesday, standing at N7. 95 per share.
