Arvind Pathak Quits Dangote As Deputy GMD

The Deputy Group Managing Director of Dangote Cement Plc, Arvind Pathak has quit the company.

Arvind was appointed Deputy Group Managing Director in 2019 after previously being Chief Operating Officer. He has more than 30 years’ experience in the cement industry. Before joining Dangote Cement, Arvind worked at Reliance Cement as CEO. He was previously the Regional CEO in ACC Limited, having worked most of his tenure in operations and maintenance of plant as well as leading important greenfield projects for the company.

He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and a postgraduate degree in Industrial Engineering and Management. He has also been trained in a number of international management colleges.

The industrial goods giant stated, “This is to inform the Nigerian Stock Exchange and other stakeholders, of the resignation of Mr. Arvind Pathak as a Director of Dangote Cement Plc.

” The Board has accepted his resignation, which takes effect from February 25 2021.
The Board would like to express its appreciation to Pathak for his commitment and contributions to the Board, and wishes him well in his future endeavours.”

Meanwhile, the share price of Dangote Cement Plc has maintained a constant share price on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) for days now as it stands at N220 per share, while the company’s market capitalisation is at N3.748 trillion and outstanding shares at 17,040,507,405.

Dangote Cement the largest equity on the NSE has traded at N220 per share for several trading sessions.

Its activities during Friday’s trading session on the NSE shows that it traded in 27,468 Shares valued at N5,765 million in 50 deals.
