Nestle Nigeria Declares N40.03bn Profit, Pays N47.96bn Dividend Payout To Shareholders
Nestle Nig Plc has declared a profit of N40. 03 billion, and announced a N47.96 billion dividend payout to its shareholders for the year ended December 31st 2021.
According to its audited financial statement for the year ended December 31st 2021, the profit for 2021 represents a marginal 2 percent increase to N40.03 billion from N39.21 billion posted in 2020.
The 2021 full year report also showed that the company grew its revenue by 23 percent to
N351.8 billion up from N287.1 billion from the coressponding year of 2020.
Nestle’s total assets stand at N310 billion, net assets declined 27.03 percent to N21.38 billion, while total equity is at N21. 37 billion, indicating a, 27 percent decline from N29. 29 billion reporter in 2030.
This is as Nestle Nigeria Plc declared a dividend of N47.96 billion for December 2021, a 14 percent fall from N55.49 billion in 2020, while Earnings per share for the period was at N50.51.
“A Final Dividend of N25.50 per 50 kobo ordinary share from the after-tax profit for the year ended 31 December 2021 subject to appropriate withholding tax and
approval at the Annual General Meeting will be paid to shareholders whose names
appear in the Register of Members as at the close of business on 27 May 2022,” Nestle stated.
According to the Switzerland based company, the proposed final dividend is in addition to the interim dividend of N25.00 per share.
On 30 June 2022, dividends will be paid electronically to shareholders whose names appear on the Register of Members as at 27 May 2022, and who have completed the e-dividend registration and mandated the Registrar to pay the dividends directly into their Bank accounts.
Shareholders who are yet to complete the e-dividend registration are advised to
download the Registrar’s E-Dividend Mandate Activation Form, which is also available on their website: www.gtlregistrars.com complete and submit to the E-Dividend Registration Registrar or their respective Banks.
The beverage giant added that Shareholders with dividend warrants and share certificates that have remained Warrants
and Shareunclaimed, or are yet to be presented for payment or returned for validation are
Certificatess advised to complete the e-dividend registration or contact the Registrar.
As at Tuesday, shades of Nestle Nigeria reader at N1,435.00 per share on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX).
