Arsenal Gives Eddie Nketiah Last Chance To Sign A New Deal At The Club…West Ham, Crystal Palace And Other Suitors Now Convinced He will Stay At The Gunners

Arsenal has put their offer of a new deal on the table for Eddie Nketaih now ready to stay at the Emirate Stadium.

Arsenal’s offer is a five year deal worth in the region of £100,000-per-week. Nketiah has also been offered a huge signing on bonus, believed to be up to £5million over the course of the deal.

Nketiah was expected to leave the Gunners this summer after rejecting a number of contract extensions – citing his desire to play regularly as the key factor behind his decision.

But Nketiah finished the season as the club’s first choice striker, scoring five goals in the final seven games.

A host of clubs were hoping to sign Nketiah on a free transfer when his contract expires in six weeks but there is a growing feeling from those interested parties – and more importantly at Arsenal – that Nketiah is now minded to stay with the Gunners, news that was exclusively revealed by MailOnline yesterday.

Sportsmail revealed earlier this month that Arsenal were preparing one last attempt to persuade Nketiah to stay after the striker rejected previous extension offers.

West Ham, Crystal Palace and numerous clubs abroad – in particular the Bundesliga – were hoping to take Nketiah on a free transfer.

Mikel Arteta has made clear, however, that he wants to keep Nketiah and there is now growing optimism behind the scenes at Arsenal that their academy prospect will stay.

Meanwhile, midfielder Mohamed Elneny has signed a new one year extension at Arsenal.
