UEFA Makes Group Draw August 25
The 2022/2023 UEFA Champions League group stage draw will hold August 25th.
The group stage draw will feature 26 automatic qualifiers and six play-off round winners whose identity will be confirmed August 23 and 24 by UEFA.
The automatic qualifiers are Real Madrid of spain – the defending Champions League holders, Eintracht Frankfurt of Germany – defending Europa League holders Manchester City of England – the defending Champions of the English Premier League AC Milan of Italy – the defending Champions of Seria A Bayern München of Germany – the defending Champions of Bundlesliga Paris Saint-Germain of France – the defending Champions of Ligue 1
Porto of Portugal, the defending Champions of the Portuguese League and Ajax of Netherlands, the defending Champions of Netherlands league.
The elite competition will hold by playing the six play-off matches preliminary round through preliminary matches.
These matches would entail preliminary semi-finals: Tuesday 21st June 2022 Preliminary round final: Friday 24th June 2022 First qualifying round: Tuesday 5th-Wednesday 6th & Tuesday 12th-13th July 2022
Second qualifying round: Tuesday 19th-Wednesday 20th & Tuesday 26th-Wednesday 27th July 2022
Third qualifying round: Tuesday 2nd-Wednesday 3rd & 9th August 2022 Play-offs: Tuesday 16th-Wednesday 17th & Tuesday 23rd-Wednesday 24th August 2022
The Matchdays for the knockout stage are, 6th and 7th of September, 13th and 14th of September, 4th and 5th of October, 11thcand 12th of October, 25th and 26th October and 1st and 2th November.
While the round of 16 phase would take place on the 14th, 15th, 21th, 22th of February and would stretch out to 7th, 8th, 14th and 15th of March
For the Quarter-finals stages, they’ll be held on the 11th and 12th, 18th and 19th April next year, the Semi-finals would then be played on then
9th, 10 and 16th,17th of May 2023
This is the 68th time the elite competition would be held with the finals to take place in instabul on the 10th of June.
