Adewale Oyerinde Becomes NECA Director-General

The Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association has appointed Adewale Oyerinde, as the new Director-General of the Association.

His appointment takes effect from Monday August 1st, 2022 (today) at NECA, the foremost umbrella business membership organisation in Nigeria and the leading voice of business in the country.

Prior to this appointment, Oyerinde was the Deputy-Director and Head of Membership Services of the Association.

He joined NECA in 2010, and has worked in various capacities in the Social, Economic & Labour Affairs Department and the Learning and Development Department of the Association.

Prior to joining NECA in 2010, he worked as Human Resource Analyst at Rosequeen Consulting, a foremost Enterprise Development organisation in 2005 and later joined Nagode Group (a multi-billion Naira Group of companies with interest in Healthcare, Logistics, Chemicals and Allied Products, Construction, etc in 2008 as Head of Human Resources and Administration.

He has over 16 years’ experience in Industrial/Human Resources, Business Development, Stakeholders Management and key areas of Employers’ Federation/Business Membership Organisation Management.

Oyerinde is an HR thought-leader, an International Labour Organisation (ILO) trained Master Trainer and also United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) trained ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System), ISO 1400:2015 Lead Auditor.
Oyerinde holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from the University of Lagos; he is an alumnus of the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organisation (ILO); and Full Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), among others.

He sits on the Policy Board of ITF-NECA Technical Skills Development Project; a former Board member of Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre, (a Federal Government Agency); a member of the International Organisation of Employers (IOE) Industrial Relations Technical Working Group (TWG); and a Council member of the National Labour Advisory Council (NLAC). He is also a member of the International Organization of Employers Business Advisory Group on Migration, among many other national and international representations and assignments.

He is a globally-trained Business Membership Organisation expert, a Socio-Economic and Labour Affairs Analyst, a Life and Business Coach, and Author.
