How to Apply For FIRS Recruitment: A Step-By-Step Guide

The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has announced the opening of its recruitment portal for Officer I and Officer II tax positions, starting from 12:00 am on November 2, 2024.

The FIRS posted on social media that it is recruiting for roles across several Nigerian states, specifically Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, Ekiti, Lagos, and Oyo. Successful candidates must, however, be open to working at any of FIRS’s business locations nationwide, regardless of their initial state placement.

Eligibility Requirements:

1. Age: Applicants must be 27 years old or younger as of December 31, 2024.

2. NYSC Completion: Candidates should have completed their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) by December 31, 2021.

3. Education: A Bachelor’s degree or HND with a First Class or Second Class Upper in disciplines such as Accounting, Actuarial Science, Business Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Economics, Law, Mathematics, or Statistics. A master’s degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, ANAN) is advantageous.
