UBA Grows Global Network With Paris Office
United Bank for Africa Group’s (UBA) global operation has grown deep into the European community following the opening of a new office in Paris, France.
A business cooperation agreement between UBA Chairman, Tony Elumelu and the French Finance Minister Antoine Armand heralded the new office which will be the hub of the bank’s operation in the European community.
The agreement witnessed by President Bola Tinubu and French President Emmanuel Macron marks a significant milestone in the bank’s global expansion strategy, indicative of the French government’s support for the bank’s full operations in the country.
An elated Tony Elumelu says the partnership reinforces the bank’s commitment to seamless international banking services for its customers across the 11 Francophone African countries, Africa, French and European customers transacting with Africa.
“Expanding into France is a natural progression, with Paris serving as our European Union hub, as we continue to bring Africa and the world together, through innovative financial solutions. Paris will join London, New York and Dubai, as a critical component of our unique global network,” he concluded.
UBA is Africa’s global bank, with operations across 20 African countries, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and the United Arab Emirates, providing retail, commercial and institutional banking services, leading financial inclusion with cutting-edge technology.
The addition of Paris designated as its European Union hub, is expected to increase its 45 million customers and also add to its 25,000 personnel to enhance financial services for both African and European customers, providing innovative solutions that promote seamless international transactions.
