Access Bank Appoints Uche Orji Independent Non-Executive Director
Access Holdings Plc has announced the appointment of Uche Orji as an Independent Non-Executive Director of its flagship subsidiary, Access Bank Plc, effective January 7, 2025.
The appointment, which has received approval from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), reinforces its commitment to strengthening its governance framework with experienced and diverse leadership.
Orji brings three decades in investment banking, finance, and technology entrepreneurship. He is the Co-founder and Partner at Titangate Capital Management, an equity firm specialising in deep-tech, enterprise software, semiconductors, hardware, and artificial intelligence. He also leads Vitesse Africa Limited, an investment advisory firm focused on energy, technology, and infrastructure in Africa. Additionally, he serves as an Executive Board member of Ultrasafe AI, a company engaged in strategic collaborations with leading global technology firms.
Beyond his entrepreneurial ventures, Orji sits on the Private Infrastructure Development Group’s board in London, where he also chairs the Risk Committee. He previously served as the founding Managing Director and CEO of the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority. His career also includes leadership roles at UBS Securities Limited New York, JP Morgan Securities London, Goldman Sachs Asset Management London, and Diamond Bank Limited.

Mr. Orji holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Port Harcourt and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
