Lagos Begins BECE Exams July 2
The Lagos State Government has announced that the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) will hold from Wednesday, July 2nd, to Tuesday, July 8th, 2025.
The examination, organised by the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education in collaboration with the Lagos State Examinations Board, marks a key academic milestone for students completing Junior Secondary School.
Speaking on the development, the Director of the Lagos State Examinations Board, Orunsolu Adebayo, emphasised the significance of the examination in the educational journey of thousands of students transitioning into Senior Secondary School.
He reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to conducting a fair, well-organised, and seamless examination process across public and private schools.
Orunsolu encouraged students to approach the exams with confidence, highlighting that the exercise reflects their hard work and preparation.
He also called on parents, guardians, and school administrators to familiarise themselves with the examination schedules and adhere strictly to all guidelines.
“All necessary measures have been put in place to ensure that the examination process runs smoothly, with no child left unattended,” Orunsolu assured.
The Lagos State Examinations Board urges full cooperation from all stakeholders to ensure the successful conduct of the 2025 BECE across the state.
