Juventus Dismiss Igor Tudor After Eight-Game Winless Streak
Juventus have dismissed head coach Igor Tudor following a string of disappointing results, the club announced on Monday.
The decision came after Juve’s 1–0 defeat to Lazio, which extended their winless run to eight games and left them eighth in Serie A, six points behind leaders Napoli.
Assistant coach Massimiliano Brambilla will take charge for Wednesday’s league clash against Udinese, the club confirmed in a statement thanking Tudor and his staff for their “professionalism and dedication.”
Tudor, 47, a former Juventus defender, replaced Thiago Motta in March but managed only 10 wins, eight draws, and six losses during his tenure. The Bianconeri have failed to score in their last four matches and have picked up just five points from their past five fixtures.
Despite spending €130 million in the summer on players including Francisco Conceição, Nico González, Edon Zhegrova, Lloyd Kelly, and Piere Kalu, results failed to improve.
Reports from Sky Sport Italia suggest Juventus are eyeing former Napoli and Italy manager Luciano Spalletti as Tudor’s possible replacement.
Spalletti has been out of work since being dismissed by the Italian Football Federation in June.
