Telecommunications company Globacom has apologised to its subscribers after a nationwide data service disruption disrupted internet connectivity across Nigeria on Tuesday morning.
In a statement issued by the company, Glo confirmed that the outage began at about 8:30 a.m. on December 9, 2025, and affected customers in several parts of the country. The disruption led to widespread complaints from users who experienced difficulties accessing mobile data services.
According to the company, its engineering and technical teams were immediately mobilised to address the problem and restore normal service as quickly as possible.
“Earlier today, a data service outage occurred nationwide, affecting data connectivity across multiple locations,” the statement said. “Our technical team is working to resolve the issue and ensure services are being restored as quickly as possible.”
Glo acknowledged the inconvenience caused by the disruption, noting that dependable connectivity is essential for both personal and business activities. The company expressed regret over the incident and appealed to customers for patience while repairs are ongoing.
“We understand how important reliable access is to you and sincerely apologise for the disruption,” the telecom operator stated.
The company also thanked its subscribers for their continued trust and loyalty, assuring them of its commitment to delivering reliable services.
