NYSC Adjusts Orientation Dates for Two States
NYSC revises orientation schedule for Enugu and Osun corps members due to camp renovations, urging compliance while confirming call-up letters release nationwide.
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has revised its orientation timetable for prospective corps members posted to Enugu and Osun states under the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II programme. This NYSC orientation schedule change affects only the two states, while plans for others remain unchanged.
In a statement issued by Caroline Embu, Director of Information and Public Relations, the scheme confirmed that the orientation course for the affected states will now begin on Tuesday, 28 April 2026, and end on Monday, 18 May 2026. The adjustment follows ongoing renovation work at the orientation camps by the respective state governments.
NYSC explained, “This slight adjustment is due to the on-going extensive renovation of the Camps by the State Governments which has necessitated the change in date.”
The organisation also clarified that all other states, including the Federal Capital Territory, will proceed with the original schedule from Wednesday, 22 April 2026, to Tuesday, 12 May 2026.

Officials have advised all affected candidates to note the updated dates and act accordingly. The scheme also encouraged prospective corps members to travel safely to their assigned states when the time comes.
Alongside the NYSC orientation schedule change, the scheme has released call-up letters for Batch ‘A’ Stream II participants. Reports show that call-up numbers and deployment details appeared on the official NYSC portal early Monday morning. Many candidates confirmed access, though several experienced delays due to high traffic on the platform.
The NYSC orientation schedule change highlights the scheme’s effort to ensure proper facilities for participants, even if it requires slight delays. For many prospective corps members, staying updated remains key as preparations continue.
