Last week, Rigaux hinted that a full review of the season would take place before key decisions were made. He said, “We will take the time to analyse everything that has happened here this past season, so that we also have a clear picture to make decisions.”
Although Robin van Persie guided Feyenoord to a runners-up finish, the club ended the campaign 19 points behind champions PSV Eindhoven. Reports suggest that concerns over consistency played a major role in the decision.
