Zenith Bank Opens New Branch in Osubi

Zenith Bank expands financial access in Delta State with a new branch in Osubi, Okpe Local Government Area.

Zenith Bank Plc has strengthened its presence in Delta State with the opening of a new branch in Osubi, Okpe Local Government Area. The development makes the bank the first commercial financial institution to establish a branch in the Osubi community.

The new Zenith Bank branch reflects the bank’s continued focus on financial inclusion by bringing modern banking services closer to individuals, businesses and communities. The commissioning ceremony took place on Wednesday, 24 June 2026, and attracted key stakeholders, including Delta State Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, government officials, traditional leaders, business owners and customers.

Governor Oborevwori described the branch as a sign of confidence in the state’s economic potential. He said the expansion showed that efforts focused on infrastructure, economic growth and improving the business environment were creating positive results.

He also highlighted the importance of the Zenith Bank branch to the host community, noting that it is currently the only bank serving the entire Okpe Local Government Area. According to him, the presence of the bank would contribute to economic activity and improve access to financial services.

Speaking at the event, Zenith Bank Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer Dr Adaora Umeoji praised the governor’s support for private sector investment. She said the establishment of the branch reflected the favourable conditions being created for businesses to grow in Delta State.

Since assuming office, the Governor has driven significant infrastructure and socio-economic development across the state, and Zenith Bank is proud to contribute to that progress through this new branch in Osubi.”

The bank’s GMD described the Osubi location as its 19th branch in Delta State and a milestone in its relationship with the state. She added that the Zenith Bank branch would support SMEs, entrepreneurs and communities through innovative banking solutions and access to finance.
