LASTMA Launches Free Traffic Emergency Hotline
LASTMA introduces the 3367 traffic hotline, offering Lagos residents a free platform to report emergencies and traffic incidents quickly.
LASTMA has introduced a new 3367 traffic hotline to help residents report road emergencies quickly while improving traffic management and public accountability across Lagos State.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has launched a new toll-free 3367 traffic hotline to strengthen emergency response and improve traffic management across Lagos State. The agency said the service replaces its previous long-service code with a simpler and more accessible platform that allows residents to report traffic-related incidents at no cost.
According to a statement issued by the Director of Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department, Adebayo Taofiq, the hotline is available to subscribers on MTN, 9mobile and Glo networks.
The 3367 traffic hotline enables road users to report vehicle breakdowns, road crashes, disabled trucks, stranded tankers, traffic blockages and other emergencies requiring immediate attention. LASTMA also said the platform allows members of the public to report the conduct, professionalism and operational activities of its personnel as part of efforts to strengthen transparency and accountability.
To encourage wider participation, callers can speak with hotline operators in English, Yoruba or Pidgin English, helping to remove language barriers during emergencies.
LASTMA General Manager, Olalekan Bakare-Oki, described the initiative as a significant step towards creating a safer and more efficient transport system through technology-driven solutions.
“The inauguration of the 3367 Toll-Free Short-Code Hotline represents another monumental stride towards institutionalising a safer, more efficient and highly responsive transportation ecosystem across Lagos State.
“It provides residents with a direct, convenient and cost-free channel through which incidents requiring immediate intervention can be promptly reported,” Bakare-Oki said.
He added that the growing size and complexity of Lagos require faster, technology-enabled traffic management. He assured residents that every report received through the 3367 traffic hotline would be handled professionally and confidentially before being forwarded to the appropriate operational teams for prompt action.
