Atiku Appoints Bello, Moses as Community Aides
Atiku appoints two community engagement aides as the ADC expands grassroots networks and political mobilisation efforts.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has appointed two aides to strengthen community engagement efforts within the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The ADC presidential candidate and former Nigerian Vice President Atiku Abubakar has named Alh. Aliyu Bello as Senior Special Assistant on Community Engagement and Dr Victor Moses as Special Assistant on Community Engagement.
The appointments were confirmed in a statement released on Wednesday by the Atiku Media Office. According to the statement, Bello brings experience from journalism, entrepreneurship, international trade and grassroots politics. He holds a Master’s degree in Mass Communication, alongside certifications in Leadership and Business Management.
Bello previously served two terms as Kaduna State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Youth Leader, where he supported youth participation in politics. He also worked as Financial Secretary of the Kaduna State chapter of the PDP before later joining the ADC. His background in media, business, politics and community engagement is expected to help expand youth involvement and strengthen grassroots networks.
The statement also described Dr Victor Moses as a scholar, public affairs strategist and entrepreneur with nearly two decades of experience in strategic communication, political mobilisation, behavioural research and grassroots engagement.
Dr Moses holds a Ph.D. in Psychology and served as National Publicity Secretary of the Atiku Support Organisation (ASO) from 2021. During that period, he played a role in stakeholder relations and grassroots mobilisation.
The appointments come as Atiku Abubakar continues efforts to build stronger political structures through the ADC. The former Vice President congratulated both appointees and expressed confidence in their ability to contribute to the party’s shared goals.
The statement said, “Atiku congratulates the two new appointees and wishes them success in serving our shared vision,”
How could these appointments influence the ADC’s grassroots strategy ahead of future elections?
