LeBron James has declined to reveal where he will play his record-extending 24th NBA season, leaving fans and analysts to continue speculating about his future.

The NBA’s all-time leading scorer appeared live at Fanatics Fest in New York on Thursday, where he recorded an episode of his “Mind the Game” podcast before a packed audience. However, LeBron James quickly dismissed expectations that he would announce his next destination.

His co-host, Tyrese Haliburton, received loud cheers after asking whether James had a decision to share. “We just talked about this in the back,” James replied. Haliburton then responded, “OK, OK, I’ll leave it alone.”

Interest in LeBron James has intensified since he announced in June that he would leave the Los Angeles Lakers as a free agent after eight seasons, during which he helped the franchise win the 2020 NBA title.

Several teams have been linked with the four-time NBA champion. Reports have suggested possible moves to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, Philadelphia 76ers, Golden State Warriors, or Minnesota Timberwolves.

Responding to a fan’s question, James acknowledged the speculation without revealing his plans. “I’ve heard Warriors, I heard Philly,” he said. “We’ll see what happens.”

During the discussion, James also reflected on the upcoming season, saying he expects the Eastern Conference to attract greater attention than it has in recent years.

He praised his time with the Los Angeles Lakers, describing it as “an unbelievable ride.”

“And I am looking forward to what comes next as I wind down my journey,” he added. “It’s going to be fun wherever I land,” he said.

With no official decision announced, the future of LeBron James remains one of the biggest storylines ahead of the new NBA season.
