Multi-talented actor Fredrcik Leonard is one of the hottest guys rocking the movie industry.His charismatic looks and stellar performances in movies always stand him out. In an interview VIVIAN ONUORAH,he speaks about acting and why he loves to play bad guy roles in movies.
Can you Tell us about yourself including your state of origin?
I am a Nigerian, I hail from Anambara State, Nnewi North Local Government to be precise.
I am a Christian, highly motivated and driven! I love my job and I like to give it my best at all times.
How did you get into acting?
I would say it was through divine direction, I didn’t plan for it to happen but years back, a family friend had taken me to where film makers assemble, I liked what I saw and I decided to register with The AGN, I then acquired some training to brush up my craft and make it acceptable and here we are today!
What was the inspiration?
Knowing that I will be able to touch other people’s lives positively through the roles I play in movies was and is still my greatest inspiration. The stories we tell mirrors our society and with strong moral lessons in our movies, we can reform our society!
How long have you been acting?
Professionally, 6-7 years
How has the journey been so far?
Just like every endeavor in life, it has it’s rocky moments but with hard work, focus and consistency, it will surely pay off like it’s doing now, and I thank God for that.
How did you get your first role in a movie?
I auditioned for it
Which movie would you say brought you recognition?
Accident, Directed by Teco Benson which won me my very first award. GIAMA Awards 2014 Houston Texas
What are the movie projects you worked on in the last one year?
Oh there’s been quite a number of them, I’ve been very occupied of recent filming these amazing movies… 40Days, Hilary Hilarious, On The Brink, Enigma, A Dance To Forget, Fool Me Once, WoEMan, One Heart Two Lovers, Choked, and a whole lot more
How has acting experience been for you so far?
Interesting, it gives you the opportunity to be multi-faceted and see life from different perspectives! As an an actor, you bear the responsibility of bringing different characters to life and I find it extremely exhilarating!
What are some of the challenges you have encountered as an actor?
Making the audience understand that personally, we are not exactly like the characters that we act out but we are more like evangelists speaking through the roles that we play as actors.

Modelling, Personal business, Youth Empowerment
How financially rewarding has acting been for you?
Just like every other profession, It is very rewarding to that man who gives 120% at all times, so I will say to those of us that give our all to every movie project we find ourselves on, it has been very rewarding.
What kind of role appeals to you most and which has been most challenging?
As an Actor, you must be very versatile but personally I prefer to play dark roles, and what do I mean by dark roles,? The Villian, The bad guy, The Heart Breaker, The Betrayer, The Wife Beater, The Bipolar Sufferer, The Rich man who uses the good he has to obtain the evil he desires. Now, someone reading may have raised an eyebrow at my preference but truth be told, those are no easy characters to pull off.

I am a graduate of Biochemistry
What was growing up like for you?
It was fun growing up under strict parents who loved me very much and gave me the best they could at the time. I still have fond memories of those days.

My mental strength
What has been your most embarrasing moment as an actor?
I haven’t really had an embarrassing moment, but I feel appreciated by fans everywhere I go who follow my work.
What do you enjoy most about being an entertainer?
The challenge that comes with the job and knowing that you must prove yourself at all times.
