Bayelsa police arrest 5 suspected kidnappers


The police in Bayelsa on Thursday said detectives from the
Anti-Kidnapping/Anti-Vice Unit had arrested five suspected kidnappers.
Mr Asinim Butswat, a DSP, and the spokesman of the state police
command, made this known in an interview.
Butswat said officials of the unit stormed a hotel premises in Swali
community, Yenagoa, following a tip-off and arrested the suspects.
He said the suspects were planning to launch an attack on a yet-to-be
identified location.
According to him, the suspects are currently undergoing interrogation. (NAN)
