Dangote, Peugeot-Citroen Collaboration For 3,500 Vehicles In 2019 Excites MAN

The collaboration among Dangote Industry, Peugeot-Citroen, and five State Governments to revive automobile manufacturing is exciting to Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) noting that such would grow the economy.

The arrangement is expected to roll out 3,500 vehicles next year and to be increased to about 10,000 units by 2020

The sector which is being re-awaken owing to the auto domestication policy, many years ago recorded 34 percent success rate in local sourcing of Peugeot parts before the industry went comatose

The Director-General of MAN, Mr. Segun Ajayi-Kadri, said the resuscitation of the sector is a positive development that would boost the confidence of prospective investors.

“If we are able to have more of these partnerships and implement appropriate policies to maintain the resurgence, we will automatically rebuild small-scale industries.
