Job Summary: The facility management supervisor is ultimately responsible for the proper functioning, overall condition and safety of the company’s managed estates and oversees a broad range of operations that allow the company to function efficiently, effectively and safely. He manages day to day operations of the Business unit and provides overall forward planning for facility operations in a safe and efficient manner. The office holder will provide leadership, direction and technical knowledge for the guidance of other members of the facility management team.
Supervises: All the Business unit’s Personnel
Reporting to: Group CEO
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the monitoring of all essential building systems within the managed estates/properties to assure systems are operating correctly and efficiently. Such systems include plumbing, electrical, mechanical, swimming pools and security.
Plans and organizes the operations of the Business unit to ensure successful outcomes in all its spheres of activity.
Responsible for the creation and implementation of operational policies and procedural manuals for the company’s daily operations whilst incorporating input from residents, vendors and the company’s employees as may be approved by management.
Communicates operational guidelines to staff so that information is disseminated uniformly in a manner that promotes understanding and compliance.
Develops service quality guidelines and criteria to ensure required service quality levels are maintained by service providers across all managed estates.
Oversees selection of Beachway managers’ vendors for regular maintenance issues such as generator maintenance, waste management and landscaping services and monitors their performance on assigned contracts.
Communicates with the Group CEO about emerging operational issues affecting the unit in a timely fashion.
Ensures that the Plant Maintenance officer prioritizes maintenance and repair needs and works with vendors to coordinate the maintenance and repair work.
Develops and maintain an electronic method of maintenance record keeping.
Recommend changes in working conditions and use of resources to increase efficiencies.
Analyzes and oversees resolution of any facilities problems within the managed estates.
Coordinates internal, multi-disciplinary safety team to create and implement
plans relating to safety within the estates and group such as fire evacuation
plans etc.
Has ultimate responsibility for the successful management of the company’s
Clients and customers and the successful resolution of any challenges they may
experience in the managed estates.
Qualification, Skill & Experience
Minimum of first degree or its equivalent in a reputable tertiary institution.
Ability to take independent decision and deal with client’s issues
promptly.
A good team player with strong communication skill, confidence and
proactive.
4 – 5 Years of cognate experience is required.
