Sterling Bank Holds 58th AGM May 20

Sterling Bank Plc is set to hold its 58th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday, 20th May at Lagos.
The bank, on Friday, notified its shareholders in a statement signed by the company secretary, Temitayo Adegoke and published on the Nigerian Stock Exchange website.
Adegoke said, “Further to the directive of the Federal and State Government on the restriction of large public gatherings in view of COVID- 19 pandemic, the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has approved that the AGM be conducted through the use of proxies by Shareholders of the Bank”.
The bank said, that the attendance would only be by proxy in order to reduce physical contacts.
Shareholders are hereby advised to kindly select from the proposed proxies include Mr. Asue Ighodalo, Mr. Abubakar Suleiman, Mrs. Temitayo Adegoke, Brig. Gen E.E. Ikwue (Rtd), Sir Sunny Nwosu, Mr. Mathew Akinlade, Mr. Boniface Okezie, and Mr. Gbenga Idowu to represent them at the meeting
Sterling bank also noted that the provisions on quorum for the meeting has been carefully considered with the above measures, as a quorum can be formed either by physical attendance or by proxy.
Also, “A proxy form is attached to the Annual Report and Shareholders who wish to appoint proxies should send soft copies of their duly executed forms to Pace Registrars via email at [email protected], not less than 48 hours before the time fixed for the meeting”.
The Bank said it would bear the cost of stamp duties on the instruments of proxy.
