The Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) has disclose that its customers in Ondo and Ekiti state will be experiencing power outage by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) on Saturday July 4th from 10,00 am to 6,00pm.
The outage according to them is to enable them complete the installation of a bus bar isolator.
The company in a public announcement on Thursday via its Twitter handle listed areas to be affected as Akure township, igbara oke, Ilaramokin, Owo, Ifon, Ado Ekiti, Ilawe, Ise emure and Igede, others are Oba Ile, Idanre, Aromoke, Oda, Iju, Ikere town, Awo igbemo and Igoba.
Similarly Ikeja Electric had earlier on Wednesday also aanounced via its Twitter handle that Ikorodu and 10 other communities under it’s franchise area would also be experiencing an outage by the TCN from today to the 7th of July.
They stated that the upgrade of the dual construction of Sagamu 132KV line was responsible for the outage and that it was necessary to improve power supply on the network.
IE listed affected communities to be Odogunyan, Agbede, Mega Steel and ChikiChiki, Agodo, Industrial, Centex, Itaoluwo and Cantonment.
Both DisCos in their public notice apologised to affected customers and promised to restore power once the installation and upgrade are done.
