ENI, ASSTRA Promote Carbon-Neutral Mobility

Eni, an integrated energy company and Asstra, the National Association of Local Public Transport Companies in Italy have entered into a partnership to promote carbon-neutral mobility.
Carbon-neutral mobility seeks to help stop climate change and to provide decision-makers with tools to select CO2 mitigation measures that deliver on their climate commitment.
Eni, in a statement on Wednesday, said the pact between the two parties if the implementation of a series of initiatives and trials to decarbonise transport and reduce the levels of particulates released into the air, using a holistic and technologically neutral approach to identify the appropriate solution for each area of use.
Eni said, “The agreement provides for joint sharing of expertise, mutual participation in thematic
working groups and the promotion of a joint position paper highlighting the different existing energy, technological and organisational opportunities.
“The opportunities include those deriving from the integration of public transport and forms of sharing mobility, the use of biolubricants and biofuels in public transport and the application of the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and ‘Well to Wheel’, an approach in assessing the impact of the various mobility solutions
have no emissions.”
