Flour Mills Names Olusanya As New CEO
A leading integrated food and agro-allied company, Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc has announced the appointment of Mr. Omoboyede Olusanya as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.
This follows the retirement of Mr. Paul Gbededo, whose formal retirement would take effect from December 31st, 2020.
A statement on Friday by Flour Mills’ Secretary and Legal Adviser, Umolu Joseph, said Gbededo is leaving the company as CEO after 38 meritorious years with the group.
While announcing its new managing director and chief executive, Flour Mills said Olusanya was formally its Group Operating Officer until its elevation effective from January 1, 2021.
The company said, “After a long and fulfilling career with Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, spanning over 38 years, Mr. Paul Miyonmide Gbededo retired as Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, with effect from 31st December, 2020, but remained on the board following his elevation as Vice Chairman of the Board of Flour Mills Nigeria Plc effective 4th December, 2020.
“Chief Dr. Emmanuel Akwari Ukpai, the Vice Chairman of the Board retired effective 3rd December 2020. After a long and fulfilling career with Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, spanning over 40 years Chief Dr. Emmanuel Akwari Ukpai retired as Managing Director on 31st March 2013 and remained on the board and was elevated to the position of Vice-Chairman.”
According to the FMCG group, all appointments followed the company’s board meeting held on Thursday, 3rd December, 2020.
