MTN Nigeria Communications has announced a N205. 214 billion Profit in its Audited Financial statement for the year ended December 2020.
According to the 2020 Financials, the company grew its PAT by 0.9 per cent to N205. 214 billion, up from N203.283 billion in 2019.
The figures released on Monday by the Communication giant shows that its profit before tax, (PBT) climbed by 2 6 per cent, to close the year at N298. 874 billion up from N291.2777 billion in 2019.
The report further revealed that its earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) grew by 9.7 per cent to N685.7 billion. However, EBITDA margin declined by 2.5 per cent point to 50.9 per cent.
The telecom operator also maintained its leadership position on the market as subscribers climbed in 2020. According to MTN, its Mobile subscribers increased by 12.2 million to 76.5 million, while active data users moved by 7.4 million to 32.6 million.
The 2020 Audited report disclosed that its Service revenue surged by 14.7 per cent to N1.3 trillion and Earning per share, (EPS) rose by 0.9 per cent to N10. 1 Kobo, while the company proposed a final dividend of N5. 90 Kobo per share.
