Jaiz Bank Jumps 4.62% As Board Approves 2020 Financials

The market capitalization of Jaiz Bank Plc rose by 4.62 percent on the Nigerian Bourse on Wednesday as its Board of Directors approved the Audited Financial statement for the year ended 31st December 2020. 
 
The Bank’s market capitalization climbed to N20.035 billion up from N19.151 billion, representing a 4.62 percent or N883.93 million surge during one day trading on the Exchange.
 
The lender’s share price also appreciated from 0.65 Kobo per share to 0.68 Kobo per share, while its outstanding shares stand at 29,464,249,300. 
 
The rise in the shares of Jaiz Bank is coming on the heels of the approval of its 2020 financials approval by its Board of Directors. 
 
A statement by Rukayat Dahiru, the company secretary/Legal Adviser said the approval of the Audited Financial statement for the year ended 31st December 2020 and the payment of the final dividend followed the bank’s board meeting held on Tuesday. 
 
The statement read in part, “We are pleased to inform the investing public and the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) that the Board of Directors of Jaiz Bank Plc on March 9th 2021 considered and approved the Audited Financial statement for the year ended 31st December 2020 and the payment of final Dividend subject to the approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).” 
 
The bank also added that it would release the audited report to the investing public upon the approval of the CBN.
