Aspirants’ Withdrawal Move Tinubu Closer To APC Ticket.
The national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu is gradually inching closer to clinching the party’s ticket following the withdrawal of other aspirants.
As of the press time, Former Governor of Ogun, Ibikunle Amosun Former Governor of Akwa Ibom, Godswill Akpabio, and Governor Kayode Fayemi have all stepped down for him.
Amosun said, “As I withdraw now, vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He is ably qualified to be your President.
“But I have stepped down for Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” According to Akpabio, Tinubu can do the job.
Amosun urged delegates from Ogun state to vote for the former Governor of Lagos state.
Governor of Jigawa State and 2023 aspirant, Abubakar Badaru had earlier stepped down for Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Badaru said that he will be stepping down for Tinubu because he was a father and leader of the party.
In the same line, Dimeji Bankole also stepped down Tinubu adding that he was better suited for the position.
Another aspirant, Ajayi Borrofice also announced that he will be withdrawing from the race and called on his supporters and delegates to support Tinubu.
