Shelter Afrique Lists N46bn Corporate Bonds On FMDQ
Shelter Afrique, also known as Company for Habitat and Housing in Africa, has listed N46 billion in corporate bonds on the FMDQ Exchange.
The Issuances are in two tranches – N18.82 billion Series 1 (Tranche A) and N27.18 billion (Tranche B) Fixed Rate Bonds.
FMDQ Exchange in a disclosure on Tuesday, said the bonds are under the company’s N200 billion ($481.3 million) bond offering program.
“FMDQ Exchange is pleased to announce the approval for the listing of the Company for Habitat and Housing in Africa (Shelter-Afrique) N27.18bn Series 1 (Tranche A) and N18.82bn Series 1 (Tranche B) Fixed Rate Bonds under its N200.00bn Domestic Bond Issuance Programme,” it stated.
Shelter Afrique, better known as Company for Habitat and Housing in Africa, is a pan-African finance institution created to exclusively support the development of the African real estate and housing sector.
The company founded in 1982 has its headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya.
44 African Governments; Africa Development Bank (AfDB); Africa Re; African Solidarity Fund are part of its owners.
