NDLEA Arrests Four, Busts N194.77bn Cocaine At Ikorodu Warehouse

National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has busted a major warehouse where 1.8 tonnes (1,855 kilogrammes) of cocaine valued at N194.77billion were stored in Lagos.

The warehouse was built in a secluded estate in the Ikorodu area of Lagos.

According to the agency, the cocaine seized from the warehouse was worth more than $278. 25million equivalent to about N194. 77billion in street value.
Four drug barons including a Jamaican and the warehouse manager have been arrested in connection with the seizure.

Giving further details on the incident, Femi Babafemi, the Director of Media for NDLEA noted that the warehouse was located at 6 Olukuola crescent, Solebo estate, Ikorodu.

He confirmed that the warehouse was raided on Sunday 18th September 2022, while the barons were picked from hotels and their hideouts in different parts of Lagos between Sunday night and Monday 19th September.

He said: “Preliminary investigation reveals that class A drugs were warehoused in the residential estate from where the cartel was trying to sell them to buyers in Europe, Asia, and other parts of the world. They were stored in 10 travel bags and 13 drums.”
