Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retired), the president, will be present today for Mahamat Idriss Itno’s investiture as the two-year president of the Transitional Team in the Republic of Chad.
In a statement titled “President Buhari to attend the investiture of Mahamat Idriss Deby as transition President in Chad,” released on Sunday by the president’s senior special assistant on media and publicity, Garba Shehu, it is stated that President Buhari will be present at the event. “The ceremony, which will take place in the capital, N’Djamena, will further emphasize negotiations on a peaceful and harmonious return to the democratic process in the county, following the passing of the former President, Idriss Itno in April 2021,” the statement read in part.
