According to Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola, not less than N13 trillion has been generated into federal coffers.

The amount of N13,098,476,244.22 was generated between January 2015 and March 2023, according to him.

The various projects and housing projects involving 383,431 employees led to the construction of 9,290.34 roads, creating a huge economic boost, according to Fashola.

He said these were facilitated by one hundred and sixty-eight memos advanced by the Federal Government, led by the All Progressives Congress Party (APC) for the delivery of roads and Houses in the last four years spanning 2019 – 2023.

According to the Minister, the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a party cannot be scammed because it is detailed in it’s progressive approaches to development.

The minister said of the 168 memos which emanated from the Ministry of Works and Housing covering the Works and Housing sectors 155 emanated from the works sector, while 13 others are from the housing sector and got the approval of the federal executive council.

He said the memo represented deliberate and progressive measures taken to better the Nigerian infrastructure space.

Fashola pointed out that another major feat it recorded in the Eight years at the ministry was the digitization of the land registry which witnessed the uploading of over 50,000 files.

He said we have successfully had “50,000 files scanned in cumulatively, translating to 2,478,400 pages of documents and that is now live and ready to go.

“So that I will not be carrying those Ghana must-go bags to my house every weekend for signing.

According to him: “Our successor, whoever those may be, will gain largely for it.

“Again, that will improve the transaction time. Some of the things that used to take three months to process can now happen in 24hrs, the minister stated.

Fashola said these actions would greatly improve the economy through time efficiency.

“Again subject, that to multidimensional poverty index, the subject that to improve the human condition and subject that to the three-way test and see if it passes that test,” He said.
