Tinubu Sacks Abubakar Aziz, Appoints Coker-Odusote New NIMC Boss

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Bisoye Coker-Odusote as the Acting Director-General of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC)
He is to act from August 24 pending the appointment of a substantive head to replace Aliyu Abubakar Aziz, the Director-General of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC)
who has been ordered to proceed on a 90-day pre-retirement leave with effect from August 24, 2023, leading to his eventual retirement from service on November 24, 2023.
Ajuri Ngelale in a statement on Tuesday also announced that Bisoye Coker-Odusote will also continue as the substantive NIMC Director-General/CEO, beginning on November 24, 2023, for a full term of four years.
Furthermore, President Tinubu approved the appointment of Yusuf Buba Yakub to serve as the Director/CEO of the Directorate of Technical Aid Corps (DTAC), theth immediate effect.
This follows the recent expiration of tenure of the former DTAC Director/CEO, Dr. Pius Osunyikanmi he statement explained.
