New Students At Abuja Varsity To Undergo Drug Tests Before Admission
To ensure Physical and emotional soundness, Prof. Abdul-Rasheed Na’allah, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Abuja, has announced that all new students of the institution will undergo a mandatory drug test before admission.
This is a significant announcement regarding the admission process and it reflects the school’s commitment to addressing the serious issue of drug abuse among its student body.
Prof. Na’allah emphasized the importance of monitoring the drug status of students as a proactive measure to ensure a drug-free environment within the institution.
Rather than taking a punitive approach, the university will also partner with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to provide support and rehabilitation for students who may test positive for drug use.
He stressed that this approach aligns with the university’s mission to help students overcome challenges and lead healthy, fulfilling lives.
