Inalegwu Adoga Is Champion Breweries’ New CEO

Champion Breweries Plc has announced Inalegwu Adoga as its new Managing Director to fortify its leadership team.

Adoga’s new position became effective December 1, capping a journey that began in 2019 when he assumed the role of Production Manager.

His remarkable trajectory within the company saw him rise swiftly to the position of General Manager by September 2021. Over the past four years, Adoga has played a pivotal role in the company’s evolution, spearheading transformative strategies that resulted in enhanced efficiency, increased sales revenue, improved profitability, and a substantial gain in market share.

Under Adoga’s leadership, Champion Breweries achieved and maintained compliance with Heineken’s rigorous standards for safety and quality. His strategic initiatives optimized cost-effectiveness, boosted productivity, and streamlined the New Product Introduction (NPI) processes. Notably, he successfully closed infrastructural gaps, contributing to Champion Breweries’ rapid transformation into a profitable entity.

Bringing a wealth of experience from his background with Coca-Cola Hellenic and Heineken, Adoga is well-equipped to steer Champion Breweries toward continued success. Holding a Master of Brewing Operations from the Institute of Brewing and Distilling, UK, he is a certified ‘Master Brewer’ and a Process Kaizen Engineer in Quality and environment from Heineken University.

He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology, complemented by Post Graduate Diplomas in Management and Strategic Management and Leadership. His commitment to continuous learning is evidenced by his participation in the Heineken International Management Development Excellence Course (HIMDEC) at Ashridge Business School, UK. Moreover, he holds a distinguished Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration (Honoris Causa) from Prowess University, Delaware, US.
