Kerosene Price Increases By 18.78
The price of Kerosene increased by 18.78 percent in a year to N1,303.16 by October 2023 according to the latest report by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
In the latest report entitled, the National Household Kerosene Price Watch (November 2023), the bureau noted that the price was N1,083.57 in November 2022, a slight decline to N1,287.10, indicating a 1.23 percent drop from October’s figure of N1,303.16.
At the state level, Adamawa led with the highest average price per litre at N1,588.10, followed by Imo (N1,521.97) and Abuja (N1,512.50). Conversely, the lowest prices were observed in Kwara (N937.50), Osun (N1,100.00), and Zamfara (N1,125.00).
Regionally, the South-East recorded the highest average retail price per litre of HHK at N1,384.49, followed by the North-East at N1,367.81, while the North-West reported the lowest at N1,226.75.
For consumers purchasing per gallon, the average retail price in November 2023 was N4,583.44, a marginal increase of 0.03% from October’s N4,581.89. The year-on-year perspective indicated a more substantial 27.51% increase from N3,594.44 in November 2022.
