The Lagos State Government (LASG) has kicked-start the Year 2024 Online Payment and Registration for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and Placement Test by Continuous Assessment Scores (CAS).
The commencement of the exercise is in a statement signed by the director of the Lagos State Examinations Board, Mr. Adebayo Orunsolu, a copy of which was made available to our correspondent.
The Board notified the general public especially Private Schools and Schools with Special Permissions, that Online Payment and Registration has commenced.
Orunsolu stated that the process is in line with the state government’s policy of ensuring seamless and stress-free payment and access to services in the State.
He added that it would afford every school to create a Login Account to generate their Unique Identity Number (ID) and Personalized Identification Number (PIN) by login into https://examsboard.lagosstate.gov.ng
He urged the schools to adhere strictly to the guidelines for payment and registration as stated on the portal.
The director also revealed that only primary six (6) pupils are eligible for the Placement Test by CAS, adding that only duly registered JSS3 students would be allowed to sit for BECE.
He remarked that the online payment and registration was sustained to allow for a itch-free process.
He added that schools with Special Candidates such as those with visual challenges, albinism and others should inform the Exams Board in a separate letter to facilitate adequate preparation for their candidates during the examination.
Orunsolu also stated that the Circulars containing details information about the mode of payment and registration for the two examinations were already available to schools through their LED / ZONAL OFFICERS.
