ABA—A pro-Buhari group, Ndigbo for PMB  2019, has urged the South East zone to support President Muhammadu Buhari and avoid making political mistakes, which will hurt the interest of Ndigbo in 2019. Buhari National Coordinator of the group, Prince Paul Ikonne, who warned against repeating what he described as the “mistake of 2015,” added that the best chances of Igbo man to govern Nigeria would be in 2023 when Buhari completes his second term in office. He promised that the ‘5 percent votes’ recorded by Buhari in 2015 would gain a quantum leap to 99.9 per cent in 2019, stressing that the President has been fair to Ndigbo by appointing them to four key ministries. “What we should talk about is project and enabling environment, because President Buhari gave us four key senior ministers in the federal cabinet.

Don’t forget that he had picked our brothers as his running mates in the past but yet some people still claim he hates us,” Ikonne said. Abia State Coordinator of the group, Chief Martins Azubuike, stated that the group has no political party identity but open to all, and added that Ndigbo needed to key into the centre in order to receive a fair share of the national cake. He urged the leaders of the group to ensure  proper mobilization of the people and assured that his group would harvest Abians’ vote for Buhari.
