Professionals in Nigeria’s banking and finance sector have been called the under-appreciated superheroes holding the economy of the country together through their daily activities.
According to Jide Aboderin, of DIV Ltd, “bankers and other finance staff as unappreciated superheroes who work tirelessly to ensure that the engines of the Nigerian economy are constantly lubricated through cash flows, investments, and other manual and digital fintech solutions that make life easier for everyone.”
He said this as he revealed plans for a party-style corporate event, put together by himself and partner, Peju Adewusi; who is the Creative Consultant at We Own The Night Ent.
Mr. Aboderin, who has worked in the communications department of different banks in Nigeria, said that on Thursday 29th, November 2018, stakeholders in the Banking, Investment, Finance and Fintech sectors will come together to bond during an event tagged Corporate Nights.
“Corporate Nights are a great opportunity for colleagues across the industry to come together and network in a relaxed but yet vibrant environment. The goal is to dedicate every last Thursday of the month to one or more industries and create a much-needed platform for building networks and key relationships,” Mr. Aboderin said.
He added that this month’s edition will be held simultaneously in two locations in Lagos. Some of the highlights of the night would include an opportunity to win tickets to Rwanda, celebrity appearances and opportunity for junior executives to engage their senior colleagues across the industry.
