In a show of protest, the ad-hoc officers attached to Ward E, Unit 16 arrived late keeping the electorates including Mudashiru Obasa, the Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker waiting unaccredited till 10.30am.

.Findings show that the delay was a way of protest by the  Ad-hoc officers who allegedly are yet to be paid their allowances for the last week Presidential and National Assembly elections held on February 23.

The protest was also noticed across Agege and Orile Agege where accreditation and voting were to commence on time.

However, they arrived as at 11am, appearing to have sheathed their sword and carry out their duties.

Meanwhile in Iyana Ipaja area voting has commenced and voters trouped out as early as 8.00am to exercise their right.

The exercise has been peaceful so far with voters turn out impressive compared to the Presidential and National Assembly election held on February 23.

At Ifako Ijaiye, unit 022, ward 8, as at 12.00 voting has begun. Card readers performed well.

According to Honourable Rashed Lanre Makinde, Ifako/Ijaiye Constituence 2, who noted voter apathy, the ad-hoc officers did not report on time, but the security is excellent.
