President Muhammadu Buhari came in May 29, 2015 and spent over six months before appointing his ministers in 2015. And even when he eventually did, he called them useless and noisy. During the last four years his feudalist socialism called buharinomics did everything to make sure he destroys the economy beyond repair so that we all will be poor and become farmers.
If Atiku Abubakar eventually comes in as the president, he will need a minimum of two of his four years to re-engineer, repair and bring the economy back to life before he can begin to position it for a double digit growth.
But did Buhari care to learn from his past mistakes?
When he says he is being put under pressure to appoint minister one will understand that Buhari doesn’t care. Don’t forget his promise of creating 10 million jobs yearly — which is about 800,000 monthly.
Of course, when an economy is struggling and is in need of public sector push in the form of government fiscal stimulus and the fiscal authority is non-existent, then it’s natural that the obvious is inevitable, which is fiscal contraction. The implication is another recession.
But Buhari is not stupid. He knows is a personal agenda. This is why he deliberately shuts down governance and puts economic activities on the pause mode. This is done in order to achieve some ulterior motives.
Buhari has created this gap so that he could go-ahead to operate a one-man government. This way he undermines the badly needed transparency and accountability which is part of economic democratization.
