After a pretty long period of hiatus, singer cum band owner, Maureen Ejezie Uso, has returned to the blocks as she is currently slogging it out in the studio cooking a new tune that will manifest as a single in a short while.
With ace producer, Chris Okoro, providing the relevant harmonious condiments, Maureen expressed that when the single eventually drops, the beat scene would certainly experice another level of development in song delivery in the entire landscape of artistic performance.
Maureen who described her impending offering entitled “Double Trouble”, as Afro-Calypso, revealed that it would serve as a plank to link up with the young and old who are her main target audiece.
According to her, “Double Trouble” which will be released on Global Music Production label, was inspired while she was on vacation in the US and would hit the racks in December this year.
Maureen had recorded and released quite a handful of commercially successful songs way back among which is the popular “Kokoma”. However, for quite some time, she occupied the back seat recording-wise.
Presently considering her long involvement in the music industry as well as her role as a director of the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON), she considered it expedient to come back on the block with a fresh single to register her continued presence in the music business space.
Said Maureen: “Having been a major contributor in the Nigerian Music Industry as a director of Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON), I have decided to go further and revive my interest as a performing artiste; hence, my current effort to release a single, entitled “Double Trouble”.
The song specifically addresses the ills of the society as regards relationships between male and female, she said.
