Voice Subscriptions Up By 3.08% As Lagos Leads In 2019 Q4

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), in its latest telecommunications data analysis, has reported a 3.08 percent increase in voice subscriptions Quarter on Quarter and 6.87 percent Year on Year.
The number of voice subscribers active in Q4 of 2019 was a total of 184,699,409 as against 179,176,930 recorded in Q3 2019 and 172,176,930 in Q4 2018.
Also, a total of 126,078,999 subscribers were active on the internet as against 123,163,027 in Q3 2019 and 112,065,740 in Q4 2018. This shows 2.37% growth in internet subscriptions Quarter on Quarter and 12.50% Year on Year.
According to the data by NBS, Lagos state, the economic capital of the country, got the highest number of subscribers in terms of active voice per state in Q4 2019 with over 23 million subscribers.
Lagos State tops the highest number of subscribers in terms of active voice per State in Q4 2019 and closely followed by Ogun and Kano States respectively while Yobe and the Gombe States tops the least number of subscribers.
Again, Lagos State has the highest number of subscribers in terms of active internet per State in Q4 2019 and closely followed by Ogun and Kano States respectively while Bayelsa and the Ebonyi States have the least number of subscribers.
As active voice subscribers rose, so did the number of active internet subscribers and Lagos state has the highest number of subscribers in terms of active internet per state.
