Equities Gain N462.4bn in Four Straight Days

Capitalisation on Thursday gained 1.25 percent to close at N12.90 trillion, having earlier gained 1.03 per cent midweek, 1.09 per cent Tuesday, and 0.29 per cent growth on Monday.
The NSE All Share Index (ASI) also rose by 1.25 per cent to 24,758.39, total number of deals also rose by 3.15 per cent to 5,239, volume and value declined. Volume of traded stocks declined by17.90 per cent to 350.76 shares, while value dipped by 29.74 per cent to N3.70 billion.
MOBIL drove the gainers on Thursday with N17.6 or 9.95 per cent to N194.5 per share, followed by BUACEMENT with N3.2 or 9.88 per cent, closing at N35.6 per cent, UNILEVER placed third on gainers chart with N1.4 or 9.30 per cent, closing at 16.45 per share.
GUINNESS closed fourth in the gainers chart at N17.55 per share, having gained N0.55 or 3.24 per cent, while ZENITHBANK closed the top five gainers chart with N0.5 or 3.03 per cent, closing at N17.00 per share.
FLOURMILL led the losers on Thursday with N1.00 or 4.76 per cent, ending the day at N20.00 per share, followed by ARBICO which dipped by N0.23 or 9.91 per cent, closing at N2.09 per share, while OANDO placed third on the losers chart with N0.16 or 5.76 per cent to close at N2.62 per share.
NPFMCRFBK placed fourth on the decliners chart with N0.07 or 3.55 per cent loss, to close at N1.9 percent, while FIDOSON closed the top five losers chart at N3.2 per share, following N0.05 or 1.54 per cent dip.
Zenith Bank for the second straight sessions emerged as the most traded stock, Thursday, the bank closed as the most traded with 57,420,769 million shares worth N961,397,838.70 million. On Wednesday, the bank closed as the most traded with 75,074,197 million shares valued N1, 217,317,238.90 billion recorded in 687 deals.
EKOCORP followed as the most active stock with 57,003,125 million shares, worth N342, 018,750.00 million, while FBNH as the third most active stock Thursday, polled 44,360,888 million shares, worth N230, 965,329.25 million.
GUARANTY closed as the fourth in activity with 31,999,831 million shares, valued N764, 790,045.15 million, while WAPCO closed the top five activity chart with 28,383,185 million shares worth N312, 418,920.4 million.
