Access Bank Confirms Fire Incident At Lagos Branch.

Access Bank Plc commenced an investigation into the cause of the fire incident at its Ademola Adetokunbo branch at Victoria Island so as to update its protocols to prevent a recurrence.

Amaechi Okobi, the Group Head Corporate Communications in a statement said the fire broke at the branch Wednesday morning. and all personnel and customers were immediately evacuated to safety in line with its established safety protocols, The fire has now been extinguished and there were no casualties recorded.

‘We appreciate the Federal Fire Service, Lagos State Fire Service, Eko Hotels & Suites, Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA), Chevron Nigeria Ltd, United Bank for Africa (UBA) PLC and Union Bank PLC for their support to ensure the fire outbreak was adequately controlled”, he said.

While the spread has been contained, Okobi advised customers in the vicinity of the incident who have a need to access our physical branches are advised to visit nearby branches at Adeola Odeku, Muri Okunola and Ajose Adeogun or male make use of the bank’s digital channels – *901# and the AccessMore app.
